Elena Edie aka S-Pain - Owner / Head of Production
Spanish born, Grew up playing indoor soccer, soccer, basketball, water skiing (and other water sports), skiing, volleyball and been playing roller derby since 2015.
Elena has been in the garment industry since 2005, working on a variety of garments from wedding dresses to embroidered merchandise, her scope has large breadth. Because of her experience in multiple sports, she has come in contact with multiple different types of fabrics and garments and wants to bring all those expertise in the derby community to better serve said community.
Hideki Mayadas - Owner / Designer & Business Operations
American born, mixed Asian (Japanese & Indian). Grew up internationally. Grew up playing soccer, basketball, volleyball and been a roller derby player since 2013.
Hideki has been in the tech industry for 13 years with a penchant for improving processes and creating quality products.
Though Tawp calls America home, our journey has been shaped by rich international experiences and encounters with people from all walks of life. This has instilled in us a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). For us, DEI isn't just a buzzword; it's woven into the fabric of our company. We even pay close attention to thread selection for different jersey styles and employ sewing techniques that minimize velcro snags, ultimately ensuring the long-term integrity of your garment.
